Avoid Wikipedia, says Wikipedia boss

The encyclopedia's founder Jimmy Wales has warned students not to cite it unless they want an 'F'

Wales says he gets ten moaning emails a week from students who've failed as a result of relying on Wikipedia, says The Register.

Stuff like: "Please help me. I got an F on my paper because I cited Wikipedia... and the information turned out to be wrong", says Wales.

But he's digging his heels in. "For God sake, you're in college. Don't cite the encyclopedia", Jimbo warns.

That tactic won't be going down in the annals of marketing history, Mansized thinks.

The Register says Wales should change the site's name to "Jimbo's Big Bag of Trivia". Agreed 100 percent.
