Joy Division biopic planned

The life and premature death of Joy Division’s Ian Curtis is being turned into a film called “All the Time”

The biopic will use Mick Middles and Lindsay Reade’s book “Torn Apart: The Life Of Ian Curtis” as its source material, and will look at Curtis’ early efforts to launch the band while also working a day job.

The Joy Division singer committed suicide in 1980 after making only two albums, and his bandmates went on to form New Order.

Music video helmer Jamie Thraves will direct the project which is due to begin production in Manchester later this year.
