Vodafone's Mobile Connect 3G broadband data card - what a mouthful - will be rolled out to Glasgow, Sheffield, Greater Manchester, Tyneside and Greater London within the M25 from tomorrow. Complete UK coverage is expected from next summer.
Laptops already featuring built in 3G broadband include Dell's D620 and D820 and machines from Acer and Lenovo.
