Liverpool could fall to £200m takeover

Chairman David Moores has confirmed the football club are in talks with "a number" of potential investors

Moores mentioned no names, but one is rumoured to be Juan Villalonga, the Spanish multi-millionaire behind the Kraft foods business in the States.

Robert Kraft is chairman of the New England Patriots American Football side and has looked over Liverpool in the past.

Local businessman Steve Morgan could also be having another go after last year's failed attempt.

Moores is now more willing to sell for the right price. The Liverpool board reckon the club is worth about £200m total, but a potential sticking point could be unlocking cash to build a new state of the art stadium.
